Helloo Everyone,
Blogging events are great for mingling with fellow bloggers you've been talking to for god knows how long online, getting the chance to interact with fantastic brands and just having a good old time - this event was no exception! As you can probably tell from the title I was invited to the #BloggersFestival last Saturday organised by Scarlett London. I have been to one of her events before #SLBloggerBash back in April so I had quite high hopes for this one because I knew she could pull it all off! If you want to know what I got up to during this exciting afternoon then all the details are below so why not grab yourself a cuppa and relax while you have a read!
The event was held at Conrad London St. James hotel just around the corner from St James Park station but before I headed there I first went to meet Emmie! I've mentioned her a couple of times here on my blog before because I really do consider her as a close friend in the blogging community so as we were finally going to the same event as each other we decided to that meet up and get some food. It was quite nice for the both of us because although we were only a little nervous it still gave us a chance to have a nice chat before heading over there!
Here's some selfies of Emmie and I that she took, aren't we cute?
We arrived just as the event started so it was a quick sign in and some snaps from the photographer and we were in! As we went through, we were given a guide of the festival which showed us a map of where everything was and a directory of all the brands there which I found really helpful! I then started to spot some familiar faces from their blogs, Twitter and even previous blogger events so to everyone that said hello thank you so much, you made my day that much better! There were some amazing brands at the festival including JewelleryBox.co.uk, Simply Be, LEGO, Exuviance and Bare Minerals so here are some of the photos I took of the stands!
The first stand I came across was from JewelleryBox.co.uk and doesn't it look gorgeous? They are an online retail brand that offers high quality jewellery essentials without the big price tag. They actually have a pop-up shop at PopBrixton from now till 20th September so if you're around the area I would definitely recommend going and checking their fantastic jewellery collection!
This is the lovely rose gold bracelet that they kindly gave to me and I've fallen in love with it so thank you JewelleryBox.co.uk because I can assure you that this has gone to a good home!
If you didn't know already I am a huge stationery geek as I'm a real sucker for cute notebooks and pens hehe! Well this was the Small Man Media stand who are a PR and marketing company based in Wolverhampton so when I saw a load of stationary in the corner of my eye I had to go over! I had one of their yummy gingerbread men while talking with them about all the vibrant brands they get to work with including Smiggle and ACCO so that was me happy.
Many of you will have heard of Bare Minerals before because they're a big mineral make up brand and I'm being really serious when I say I was almost drooling over just looking at it all haha! I was actually thinking of purchasing one of their foundations so if anyone has any recommendations then feel free to comment below letting me know.
I was very lucky to have the chance to get personalised diary from Toad Diaries and as you can see it's very me aka all the green. They also do journals, organisers and other book-type products so whether you're wanting a new diary for your blog, work or even for school/university, go check them out for great personalised goodies!
Now looking back at this photo I'm not sure the reason behind taking it but knowing me I just wanted to show how busy it was and it was in fact busy but there was still plenty of room to move around and getting to chat to everyone which was one of my favourite parts of the festival! I have been talking to these bloggers for months now on Twitter and stalking their blogs (not even sorry) so to finally meet them all was just so great, I already can't wait for another meet up!
For some reason every time I take a photo of myself on my phone it comes up proper blurry so sorry about that and this is the only one I have of my outfit of the day, I promise next time I'll use my camera instead haha!
I first want to thank Scarlett for inviting me to another one of her amazing events, I don't know how she does it but hat's off to her because she always do so well! I also want to thank all the brands that I spoke to because their friendly attitude made me feel comfortable enough to come up and be chatty which can be rare at the best of times. Last but not least, to all the bloggers that came up and said hello and the rest that said hello back when I approached them, like I said before it really made my day! I always get nervous approaching people worrying that I'd make a fool of myself but I felt so confident to just be myself and that's because of you so give yourself a pat on the back hehe!
Do you love blogging events just as much as me? Is there any you're looking forward to this year? Also I hope you enjoyed reading into what I get up to at events and I'll see you all soon :)
