Helloo Everyone,
I recently joined a group on Goodreads called Top 5 Wednesdays created by Lainey from GingerReadsLainey. They create weekly bookish topics every Wednesday for any booktuber or book blogger to do on their channel or blog and obviously I was very happy to join! This week's topic is on anticipated pre-orders for the rest of 2015 so here are my top 5 choices:
Armada by Ernest Cline
Most of you won't be at all surprised about this one because you'll already know that I'm a huge fan of Ernest Cline as one of his previous books Ready Player One is one of my ultimate favourites so when I heard about this I had to pre-order it straight away! It's actually coming out tomorrow (16th July 2015) so I'll be waiting not so patiently for the post tomorrow to get my hands on the book and start reading! This book may sound similar to RPO but think more alien invasion and you're on the right track haha!
The Big Lie by Julie Mayhew
I actually came across this book from Sanne from the booktube channel BooksandQuills as she recently mentioned it in her last video. It's not coming out till 27th August 2015 so not too long now but I'm hoping it'll be just as good as it sounds! It's set in a contemporary Nazi England and centers around good girl Jessica Keller. She starts to panic when one of her neighbour and close friend Clementine starts misbehaving and the regime start to notice. She's almost forced to chose between her and the perfect live she's always had, but which one will she pick?
Press Play to Start by Daniel H. Wilson and John Joseph Adams
It's not long now till this gaming book is finally available to buy (18th August 2015 to be exact) and it's the kind of book I haven't bought before. According to the Goodreads, it's almost collection of stories inspired by video games. I'm intrigued to see how this all comes together so you'll definitely be hearing my opinion on it very soon!
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
The cover of this book really caught my eye but it's the story behind it that made it get to this list! Madeline Whittier is your average seventeen year old girl but with one slight difference, she's pretty much allergic to the outside world! She hasn't step outside her house in forever and the only two people she has contact with is her mum and Carla her nurse. When she see's her new neighbours move in, she falls in love with Olly but it'll be far from easy. Good right? Keep an eye out for this book in September 2015 because I can imagine it being quite a good one!
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: Illustrated Edition by J K Rowling
From what I've seen at the moment, the illustrations by Jim Kay look amazing! I know I don't need to explain what the book is about but it's basically an illustrated version of the first book from the Harry Potter series. Let's see if this one is just as magical as the others! This title will be released on 6th October 2015.
Just an FYI this isn't my whole list.. I could only pick my top five so there are still plenty more to come! What books are you excited to be released this year? Is there any in your top five that isn't in mine? Give me a comment below telling me below as I'd love to find out more books being released for the rest of this year! I hope you're all having a great summer read and I'll see you soon :)

All of these books sound so good! I'm especially excited for Armada and Everything, Everything! I just read in your bio that you're a computing student from Surrey and I just wanted to ask how you're finding it? How's the course and the area? I'm just curious 'cause my brother got an offer there for the same course so I was just wondering what you thought about it. Brilliant post and great blog too, really enjoy reading your content!!

I can't wait to start reading Armada tomorrow, I purposely pre-ordered it so I'd get it on the day of release and I'm so happy I remembered!
DeleteSadly I had to leave university due to personal circumstances so I now study with the Open University doing the course but Surrey University and the course is great, I highly recommend them both :) I hope your brother enjoys the course!
I think that Everything Everything looks like it is going to be great. Armada has also captured my interest. I can't wait for the new Ilona Andrews book - only a few more weeks left to wait. Great post!
ReplyDeleteThem two really do look great don't they? Oo I have heard of Ilona Andrews but not read a book by them so I will have to look them up! :)
DeleteThe illustrated HP is on my MEGA WANT list! I came so close to buying a hard back complete collection of the books, then I heard about this and paused, can't wait to check this out!

I KNOW IT'S AMAZING! I only found out about this recently and I was like "Why wasn't I told this before?" hahaha! Glad I'm not the only one excited ;)
